The Division Finance Manager reports into the Division
Controller.What you'll do:Recruit, coach, and counsel employees;
communicating job expectations; monitor, appraise, and review
employee's performance; communicate and ensure adherence to
policies and proceduresDevelop, implement, and maintain
division-wide accounting structures and systems to ensure
financial/asset security and compliance with all state and federal
laws as well as Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesOversee and
monitor daily operations of assigned areas to ensure accuracy and
integrity of accounting systems and internal controlsMonitor
financials. Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and
evaluation of financial data. Prepare standard and special
reportsGuide other internal Southland departments by researching
and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and
making recommendationsMaintain knowledge of best practices, and
current and proposed legislation and regulation; recommend changes
to policies and procedures to ensure complianceWhat you'll need to
be successful:Cross-functional knowledge of business and
accountingAble to influence and lead a team to expected
outcomesStrong leader with a passion for people/team development
and experience training and growing teamsStrong written and verbal
communication skills; able to communicate across all levelsAble to
analyze and resolve complex issuesComputer proficiency and
technical aptitude with intermediate to expert level ability to
utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. requiredHigh level of
attention to detail and accuracyProcess orientation with a focus on
quality and efficiencyDemonstrated ability to handle and prioritize
multiple tasks and meet deadlinesWhat you bring to the table:
Independence and Decision MakingYou are extremely capable of making
decisions independently, implements resolutions to
decisionsLeadershipYou have proven experience managing a team and
provides performance feedback and coaching; You will be responsible
for hiring, training, coaching, and managing your team's
performanceEducationBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or
equivalent; MBA preferredExperience 8-10 years of construction of
A/E/C industry accounting experience; subcontractor accounting
experience strongly preferredMinimum 3 years people managementYOU
