lets do great things together!Position Description: Lead and direct
Preconstruction process from project inception through to start of
construction for complex mega projects or portfolio of large
projects. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:Accountable for
Preconstruction deliverables for complex mega projects or portfolio
of large projects, including but not limited to Guaranteed Maximum
Price (GMP) and Lump Sum bids.Collaborate with Operations on
Project Schedule, Logistics, Safety, Constructability Reviews,
General Conditions and General Requirements.Lead development,
review and approve Assumptions and Clarifications.Develop and
maintain relationships with clients, architects, design community,
and trade partners to enhance future business development
opportunities.Collaborate with Procurement regarding
Preconstruction estimates.Participate in hiring process, onboard
and deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports,
execute/contribute to performance appraisals during annual
performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify
appropriate training to help with development needs.Lead
development and monitor Preconstruction budget for projects, with
focus on Preconstruction recoveries, including invoicing, and
provide monthly financial updates or as requested.Lead review
meetings with owners, architects, and engineers related to
Preconstruction phase.Oversee and/or prepare comparison analysis to
previous estimates and develop clear and concise messages to
explain variances for each project stakeholder.Lead Preconstruction
Quality Control (QC) processes and develop standards for scope and
estimate reviews.Identify opportunities to drive improvement within
preconstruction process by using Virtual Design and Construction
(VDC), Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and other process
enhancements.Coordinate with Operations Lead to support Launch
Matrix preparation, scheduling, evaluating, executing, and managing
meetings for each estimate milestone.Participate and contribute to
Constructability Reviews for milestone estimates per Launch
Matrix.Coordinate with Lean Manager to develop and execute Pull
Plans for design, estimate and GMP schedules.Manage Budget Control
Reports (BCRs) between each milestone estimate to manage cost
events and value engineering opportunities. Provide variance
reports for each milestone estimate to communicate scope
development.Lead Target Value Design process as appropriate for
select projects.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as
assigned.#LI-JJ1Qualifications:Bachelors Degree from accredited
degree program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction
Management, or related field, and minimum of 12 years of Building
Construction experience required, or equivalent combination of
education, training, and experienceExperience with variety of
building construction typesThorough understanding of drawings and
specifications, general contract and subcontract documents,
materials, means and methodsThorough knowledge of construction
cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles
and techniques, and accounting principlesExtensive client
relationships that generate leads and sales opportunitiesExtensive
knowledge of regional market, competition, and industry
trendsExtensive experience analyzing estimating documentsAdvanced
project management skills, able to manage high volumes of work and
ability to move projects forward in a complex environment in a
timely mannerExtensive management experience required, and coach
and mentor others, observe performance, identify areas of
development, and effectively provide performance feedbackSeasoned
negotiation skillsExecutive level presentation skills, anticipates
needs of audience, and tailors communications appropriatelyPursues
