Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced individual that will play a key
role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the Bank’s credit
portfolio. This individual will partner closely with commercial
lenders, treasury staff, and credit analysts across a range of
industry sectors to structure, evaluate, and monitor credit
relationships. The successful candidate will also assist the Chief
Credit Officer in managing and resolving problem loans, ensuring
adherence to sound credit practices, policies, and regulatory

service. The Credit Officer will influence the Bank’s credit
culture, partner with an experienced leadership team, and help
ensure the continued strength of our lending portfolio . Support
the CCO in overseeing credit risk management for commercial and
limited consumer portfolios. Participate in loan committee reviews,
providing independent analysis and recommendations on credit
requests. Collaborate with relationship managers to structure
complex credit facilities across a variety of industry types,
including commercial real estate, C&I, and specialized lending.
Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and propose
proactive credit actions. Lead or assist in the workout and
resolution of criticized and classified assets, including direct
borrower contact, negotiation, and documentation. Review financial
statements, projections, appraisals, and collateral documentation
for accuracy and completeness. Provide mentoring and training to
lending and credit personnel to reinforce underwriting and
portfolio management standards. Contribute to policy development
and process improvement initiatives within the Credit
Administration function. Maintain compliance with all internal
policies, regulatory guidelines, and Bank risk appetite parameters.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or
a related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred). Minimum
of 10 years of progressive credit or lending experience within a
community or regional bank setting. Strong understanding of credit
risk management, loan structuring, and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience resolving problem credits and managing
workout situations. Excellent analytical, communication, and
interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively and
collaboratively across departments and industry concentrations.
Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
