As a vital part of Cargill's global operations, the Maintenance Technician B role is centered around maintaining and enhancing machinery and systems in our food and beverage processing facilities. This position is crucial to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our operations, helping Cargill meet its commitment to nourishing and sustaining the global community with high standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, a strong understanding of maintenance protocols, and a commitment to operational excellence. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure performance consistency and reliability of food and beverage processing equipment. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, applying knowledge to resolve problems efficiently. Collaborate with plant operations teams to coordinate maintenance and repair work in food processing environments. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment statuses to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Support installation of new equipment and systems, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes. Adhere to safety standards and protocols to prevent and minimize work-related injuries. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Proficient in using tools and equipment required for maintenance and repair. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and maintenance manuals. Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. Forklift operation certification may be required.
