A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for a contract lasting the full semester in the West Chester, PA area. This role is based onsite at a middle school and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with the contract starting ASAP and ending June 12, 2026. There are two openings available for educators ready to contribute to a dynamic learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate mastery of special education subject matter, instructional techniques, and use of resource materials. Develop lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards, incorporating formative assessments and differentiated instruction. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with school staff to address the needs of students within an urban educational setting. Qualifications: Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification or licensure is required. Bachelor's degree mandatory for eligibility to receive an emergency teaching permit. Previous school experience, particularly within urban settings, is essential. Strong classroom and behavioral management skills are a must. Ability to complete all Pennsylvania-required clearances.
