Boeing Space and Launch is seeking Top Secret Cleared Lead Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineers to support the expansion of our organization Our opportunities available include: --- Structures Design --- Thermal Design & Analysis --- Mechanical Design --- Structural Dynamics --- Structural Analysis --- Space Vehicle, Subsystem and Payload Integration --- Mechanisms This role can be based out of any of the following locations: El Segundo, CA; Aurora, CO; Chantilly, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; Haleakala National Park, HI; Herndon, VA; Kennedy Space Center, FL; Kent, WA; Las Cruces, NM; Leesburg, VA; Mountain View, CA; Seal Beach, CA; Sylmar, CA Join us and become part of a high-performing team that is immersed in high non-recurring development that will support current and future hardware in the fabrication and integration phases Position Responsibilities: Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment Support the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance Perform spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts Work under general supervision This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years' related work experience, Master7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.)
