experienced Project Managers to join our dynamic team and play a
key role in the successful delivery of complex infrastructure
projects.These roles are accountable for the end-to-end delivery of
major projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time,
within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and scope.
You'll be working on high-value, high-visibility projects that have
a significant reputational impact and contribute directly to the
energy future of Western Australia.Your Role in Action
- Work under the Energy Transition and Sustainability function,
responsible for delivering multiple projects across all phases:
initiation, scoping, planning, execution, and closeout.
- Collaborate with a team of experts to deliver complex projects
within scope, time, and budget, maintaining safety and quality
standards.
- Manage projects with high technological, reputational, safety,
or commercial risks, impacting Western Power and stakeholders.
- Execute projects following Western Power's Project Methodology,
Standards, Processes, and Governance framework.
- Manage, maintain, forecast, and report on project financials,
including Capex and Opex.
- Proactively report project status to stakeholders and Team
Leader; coordinate project teams through resource plans and
schedules.
- Identify and manage project assumptions, risks, issues, and
dependencies, establishing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure project and quality assurance controls and gate checks
are performed to minimize risks.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and develop effective stakeholder
management plans.
- Complete all project documentation in accordance with NFIT
requirements.
- Support and develop effective project teams across various
functions to achieve project outcomes.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced project
management staff.
- Champion change initiatives aligned with business strategy and
stakeholder expectations.What Makes You a Great Fit
- Trade or Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or
Construction, or extensive industry experience.
- Industry accreditation in project management (RegPM /
PMI).
- At least 5 years of experience managing and delivering complex
projects using industry-standard methodologies like PMBOK or
Prince2.
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders and
senior leaders through excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.
- Self-motivated with effective time and effort management
skills.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and develop others.
- Extensive financial acumen, capable of interpreting financial
data, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Highly developed negotiation and conflict management skills.By
