Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Travel Central Sterile Processor – 11A–9P Facility: Fauquier Medical Center Location: Warrenton, VA Shift: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM Assignment Type: Travel Contract Position Summary The Travel Central Sterile Processor is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role supports safe patient care by ensuring all instruments and supplies meet strict quality and sterilization standards. Key Responsibilities - Decontaminate and clean surgical instruments according to established protocols - Inspect, assemble, and package instrument trays for surgical and procedural use - Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and low?temperature systems - Monitor and document sterilization cycles to ensure compliance with regulatory standards - Maintain inventory and restock sterile supplies for surgical and clinical departments - Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to support case readiness and workflow - Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines at all times Requirements - Certification as a Central Sterile Technician (CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent) - Completion of an accredited sterile processing program - Minimum 1–2 years of recent sterile processing experience - Knowledge of sterilization standards and instrumentation - Ability to work independently during mid?day and evening hours Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a hospital?based sterile processing department - Familiarity with surgical specialties and complex instrument sets Contract Details - Shift: 11A–9P -
