Job Description:
Gastroenterologist (MD) - Springfield, VA, US - (New grads are
welcome to apply) Position Details: Location: Springfield, VA, US
Job Type: Full Time Shifts - Days Key Responsibilities: Consulting
with Patients: Meet with patients to discuss their symptoms,
medical history, and concerns regarding their gastrointestinal
health. Diagnostic Testing: Perform specialized tests such as
endoscopies, colonoscopies, and imaging studies (X-rays, MRIs, and
ultrasounds) to accurately diagnose conditions. Treatment Planning:
Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses,
including recommending medications, lifestyle changes, and
procedures. Perform endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy
and upper GI endoscopy, to inspect internal organs and take
necessary biopsies or perform Qualifications and Requirements:
Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Residency and Fellowship: Completion of a three-year internal
medicine residency followed by a three-year gastroenterology
fellowship. Certification: Board certification by the American
Board of Internal Medicine, specializing in Gastroenterology.
