We are seeking an experienced Pulmonology Physician Assistant for a 21-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland. This opportunity begins on Jan 19, 2026, and offers two half-day outpatient clinic sessions per week—Tuesdays and Fridays—supporting urgent and post-hospital follow-up visits for patients with interstitial lung disease. Job Details - Location: Maryland - Start Date: Jan 19, 2026 - LOA: 21 days - Provider Type Needed: Pulmonology Physician Assistant - Schedule: Tuesdays 1pm-5pm, Fridays 8am-12pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide urgent clinic support for sick visits and post-hospital follow-ups for established patients in the Interstitial Lung Disease group - Assess severity of illness and collaborate with the supervising provider to determine appropriate care (outpatient, emergency referral, or admission) - Guide outpatient management, including performing in-clinic testing, prescribing oral antibiotics, and delivering supportive measures - Work with the ILD nurse to assess and adjust patient oxygen needs and prescriptions - Review hospital discharge medications during follow-up visits, ensure understanding of medication changes, and confirm patient stability or improvement post-discharge - Operate collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including orientation by a current APP and support from an on-site MD provider Additional Information - Active Maryland PA license required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Experience in pulmonology or urgent outpatient care strongly preferred Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
