Job Description Job Description We areseeking a Board-Certified
Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto provide
comprehensive cardiovascular care in a locum tenens capacity
inSalem VA. The provider will work closely with the Cardiac and
CardiothoracicSurgery teams to manage inpatient, outpatient, and
procedural care. KeyResponsibilities: Provide 24/7 patient
coverage, including call responsibilities. See patients in the
cardiology clinic and round on inpatients. Assist in the CVOR with
the CT surgeon, including vein harvesting and functioning as a
First Assist during procedures. Collaborate with physicians,
nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with
EMR (eCW). PatientVolume: Approximately 25 patients per day
Qualifications: Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or
Physician Assistant. Active state licensure in Virginia. BCLS and
ACLS certification required. Experience in cardiology,
cardiovascular surgery, or critical care preferred. Ability to
function in the operating room as a First Assist, including vein
harvesting. Salem,VA, is a charming city in the Roanoke Valley
