Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Care team in
Prince George's County. This role is integral to our commitment to
delivering patient-first health care services, providing
rehabilitative treatments and therapies directly to patients in
their homes under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
This position offers a unique opportunity to impact individuals’
everyday lives while operating within a supportive team that values
professional growth and compassionate care. Assist physical
therapists in the implementation of treatment plans. Perform
therapeutic procedures, such as exercises and manual therapy, based
on patient needs. Document patient responses to therapy and report
outcomes to the supervising physical therapist. Educate patients
and family members on treatment plans and in-home therapy
strategies. Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean environment
for patients. Comply with all legal and ethical guidelines of home
health care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability
to manage time effectively and adapt to varying home environments.
Physical endurance and mobility to perform therapeutic
interventions. Proficient in documenting and maintaining electronic
health records. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state
license. CPR certification preferred.
