Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced and
dedicated Sr. Region Planner in our DC Planning division, to
strategically manage and optimize data center capacities across
multiple regions ensuring alignment with AWS's dynamic growth. The
role encompasses a critical focus on both tactical and strategic
supply chain management enabling the efficient expansion and
management of our industry-leading cloud infrastructure. This is an
opportunity to leverage your deep understanding of data center
operations, supply chain principles, and IT infrastructure to
significantly impact AWS's global operations. Develop strategic
data center capacity plans in alignment with AWS's long-term
business objectives. Analyze data center demand forecasts, supply
constraints, and risk factors to recommend capacity adjustments.
Work closely with various stakeholders including supply chain,
hardware planning, and data center operations teams to develop and
implement scalable solutions. Oversee the lifecycle of regional
capacity planning from concept to execution, ensuring optimal
deployment of resources. Prepare detailed reports and presentations
for senior management, highlighting challenges and solutions, and
guiding strategic decisions. Identify opportunities for process
improvement and cost savings across the supply chain network.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Expertise in data
