Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential HVAC Duct Cleaner to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) duct systems to ensure optimal air quality and system efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, technical aptitude, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This position has a pay structure of both hourly and commissions. Responsibilities Perform Duct Cleaning : Clean and sanitize HVAC ductwork, vents, and related components using specialized tools and equipment, such as high-powered vacuums, rotary brushes, and air whips. Inspect HVAC Systems : Conduct visual inspections of duct systems to identify dirt, debris, mold, or other contaminants and report any issues to supervisors or clients. Maintain Equipment : Ensure all cleaning tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after use. Ensure Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols and industry standards to protect yourself, coworkers, and clients during cleaning operations. Provide Customer Service : Communicate effectively with clients, explaining the cleaning process, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner. Document Work : Complete job reports, including before-and-after photos, service logs, and any recommendations for system repairs or improvements. Collaborate with Team : Work closely with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently and meet client expectations. Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience : Previous experience in HVAC cleaning, general cleaning, or a related field is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Skills : Basic knowledge of HVAC systems or willingness to learn. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized cleaning equipment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces or attics. Comfort working at heights and in varying environmental conditions. Certifications : NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) certification or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory. Other Requirements : Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed. Working Conditions Work is primarily performed at residential properties, including homes and apartments. Exposure to dust, dirt, and cleaning chemicals; proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. Full-time position with potential for overtime during peak seasons.
