Private family looking for a Special Needs Nanny/Housekeeper Single parent with their own business, is in need of a highly experienced Special Needs Nanny/Housekeeper who can provide companionship to a teen with mild developmental disabilities. Ability to engage and teach daily life skills to include dressing, self care, nutritional meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping and leisure activities such as community walks, therapeutic art projects, and cooking. While teen in school program helping support the principal with light housekeeping, home organization and errands. Ideal Candidate: Youthful energetic; well groomed with good personal hygiene; strong communication skills; organizational skills; caring compassionate to both child and parent; flexible and creative; must enjoy working with special needs. What Works Best for Family: A candidate who has a very flexible schedule. Has previous experience with people with special needs. Ability to stay over night in the event parent has plans to travel out of town. About the Family Mother & her 16 year old daughter Position Responsibilities Childcare: Teenager with developmental disabilities Housekeeping: Light housekeeping, some organization Cooking: Prep meals with teen Laundry: Washing, folding, sorting, clothes and linens Ironing: Minimal Errands: Occasional pick-up & drop off of teen, grocery shopping, post-office runs Driving: Current Driver's License Travel: No Travel Required Position Requirements Work Hours: 1:00pm - 800 PM; occasional Sat or Sun; some evenings Languages: English Experience: 5-7 years References: Required , minimum of 2 References Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing for home and trial and offer for hire Personality Traits: Compassionate, patient, creative, productive Health: Vaccinated and Boosted; Mask to be worn Position Compensation Salary: $25-$30 DOE Living Accommodations: Live Out & Live-In available Vacation: Will offer Health Insurance: Will consider an open market plan Additional Benefits: Car for day errands available for use
