Verizon Global Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Enterprise
SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) Architect to lead the design,
development, and testing of our enterprise-wide SASE architecture.
This role will play a crucial part in driving network
transformation by integrating security and networking services into
a unified, cloud-native framework. You will also work with
implementation teams to implement Network and Security services
like SASE/SSE products and best-in-class cloud-delivered Security
Services. You will work with cutting-edge technology, driving
vendor roadmap, and redefining the future of network
security.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the
following...
- Developing and defining the enterprise-wide SASE architecture,
ensuring alignment with business and security objectives.
- Leading the design and implementation of Zero Trust Network
Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security
Broker (CASB), Digital Loss Prevention (DLP) and public cloud
security solutions.
- Collaborating with security, networking, and cloud teams to
integrate identity, access management, and security policies across
the enterprise.
- Defining technical standards, roadmaps, and best practices for
SASE deployment, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Building Low Level Design diagrams and be able to clearly
communicate design goals with the implementation teams.
- Providing architectural oversight for global network
transformation initiatives, driving cloud adoption and edge
security.
- Evaluating and recommending SASE vendors and technologies,
ensuring they meet enterprise security and networking
requirements.
- Partnering with IT leadership to align SASE strategies with
business objectives and digital transformation goals.
- Building strong vendor relationships so they clearly understand
Verizon's requirements and drive these vendors to build or enhance
feature/functionality to meet Verizon's needs.
- Developing implementation plans and migration strategies,
ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Leading proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and pilot projects to validate
SASE solutions and capabilities.
- Providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to
engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Keeping abreast on emerging security vulnerabilities, exploits,
and risks. Ensure the solution remains effective against existing
threats as well as proactively addresses new exploits.
- Developing engineering standards and artifacts for certified
products
- Maintaining complete technical knowledge of the network.What
we're looking for...You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant experience required,
demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military
experience, or specialized training.
- Strong expertise in SASE frameworks, SD-WAN, CASB, SWG, ZTNA,
and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with network security, proxies, firewalls,
VPNs, and identity & access management (IAM).
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
and cloud-native security models.
- Experience designing and implementing zero-trust
architectures.Even better if you have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, or related field.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments with complex
security and networking requirements.
- Prior experience leading digital transformation initiatives
with a focus on cloud security and networking.
- New technology development and testing experience
- Strong understanding of industry security standards such as
NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate
complex technical concepts to executives and stakeholders.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCIE, AWS/Azure
Security, or SASE-related certifications are a plus.
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability

the compensation range for this position is between $136,500.00 and
$238,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will
vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills
and experience. This is an incentive based position with the
potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will
be adjusted to reflect your hours.
